Dare to Lead™ Workshops and Training: Building Brave Leaders and Courageous Cultures

Dare to Lead™
Your Organization

“The courage to be vulnerable is not about winning or losing, it’s about the courage to show up when you can’t predict or control the outcome.”

― Brené Brown

At the heart of effective leadership is the ability to connect deeply with others and build relationships based on trust and vulnerability. Dare to Lead™ workshops are designed to help leaders develop these critical skills, empowering them to move beyond simply being capable to becoming truly courageous.

Give your leaders and yourself the power to lean into difficult conversations and embrace vulnerability. When you're brave in your role, you're an agent for change.

"Barb was awesome at facilitating, encouraging, and actually drawing out real conversation and dialogue with everyone. Very honest and candid responses from folks, which only enriched the experience and learnings. "

"I love attending ANYTHING Kinetic Clarity, LLC. I first got "unstuck" with Barb during a Fractional CMO project in Denver and she's been my muse ever since. A lot of coaches talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Barb STOMPS."

"I loved the natural application of the content. Examples & real life stories help make the content more real. Barb was great at making the room feel comfortable, relatable, safe & relaxed. I loved it!!"

What is Dare to Lead™?

The greatest barrier to daring leadership is not fear, it’s armor, how we self-protect when we feel uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure.

Dare to Lead is a 3-day in-person or 5-day virtual program designed with empirical-based evidence to enhance you leadership abilities and break through that barrier. It is about your own leadership self-awareness and identifying your Call to Courage as a leader. This leadership development workshop provides you with the learning, practice and integration of the four courage skills sets so you can show up authentically in life and leadership. The insights, courage skills, tools and frameworks you will learn in this program are the foundation for authentic connection with yourself and those you serve.

Over the course of the workshop, individuals will experience the curriculum through a combination of short videos by Brené herself, Co-Active facilitation, small group and pair work, practical exercises, and self-reflection to learn the skill sets of Daring Leadership.

― Brené Brown

You recognize that your organization has challenges, but you also recognize your own internal struggles to show up and be a stronger leader. Who is Dare to Lead™ For?

Dare to Lead is for anyone who would like to sharpen their leadership skillset. Leadership is much more than being in a position to make decisions and initiate action. It’s about getting the best performance from themselves and their team, without losing sight of empathy and compassion.

If you are passionate about reaching your full potential and helping others do so, this program is for you. Build a more resilient team while forging deeper relationships.

Here are some symptoms you can resolve through the Dare to Lead program. If you recognize yourself or your workplace in this list, Dare to Lead can help.

In this list, you will quickly recognize not only the challenges to your organization, but your own internal struggles to show up and lead through discomfort. These may be work behaviors and organizational cultural concerns, but what underlies all of them are deeply human issues.

  • Avoiding tough conversations, including giving honest, productive feedback either because of a lack of courage, lack of training, or a cultural norm of “nice and polite”.

  • Spending an unreasonable amount of time managing problematic behaviors instead of acknowledging fears and feelings that arise during change and upheaval.

  • Diminished trust caused by lack of connecting and empathy.

  • Not enough smart risk taking or bold ideas because of a fear of being put down or ridiculed for trying something new and failing, causing status quo and groupthink.

  • Getting stuck and defined by setbacks, disappointments and failures and spending too much time and energy reassuring team members who question their contribution and value.
  • Too much shame and blame, not enough accountability and learning.

  • Opting out of vital conversations about diversity and inclusivity because a fear of looking wrong, saying something wrong, or being wrong. Choosing our own comfort over having hard conversations, eroding trust and the ability to change.

  • Rushing to ineffective or unsustainable solutions rather than staying with problem identification and solving. We fix the wrong thing for the wrong reason; the same problems continue to surface in a costly and demoralizing way.

  • Organizational values are gauzy and assessed in terms of aspirations rather than actual behaviors that can be taught, measured, and evaluated.

  • Perfectionism and fear are keeping people from learning and growing.
